1. How will I find the stationery I downloaded from this website?
|
|
2. I'm having trouble downloading letters from this website, what am I doing wrong?
-
Be sure that you're left-clicking (not right-clicking) on the picture of the letter you wish to download, it should automatically self-install into your IncrediMail Letters style box under the folder names listed above in #1.
-
If you're using Netscape as your browser we advise you to switch over to Internet Explorer as the older versions of Netscape are not always compatible with the download function of IncrediMail.
-
Clean out all your temporary internet files (actually you should do that everyday), reboot your computer and try again.

3. Some of your designs are covered up by the " To: From: Subject: " bar when I open one up to send out, why is that?

-
As in the picture above, you'll occasionally notice what seems to be a design flaw in our stationery. We can assure you there is nothing wrong with the stationery. It only appears that there is a design flaw when you open up a "New Mail" to send out & does not appear that way to your recipient when they receive it. If you are ever unsure of a design, simply email a copy to yourself and you will view it as your recipient will view it.
-
All our stationery is carefully designed & each one generally takes between 1 to 4 hours to create. We can guarantee you that every piece of stationery we make is checked carefully before being posted to our website.

|
4. The recipients who I send emails to say they cannot see the stationery. How can I fix that problem?
-
Everybody's email settings are different depending on the email account they are using (Yahoo, Hotmail etc). Many people these days are automatically able to view HTML rich emails, regardless of what program they use to open their emails (Outlook Express, IncrediMail etc). However there are still many email accounts that have to be configured to accept these sorts of emails.
-
You will need to tell your recipients to check their email settings, both in their email account & the program they use to open their emails, to be sure that they are able to accept images in their emails. If they don't know how to that, they will need to contact the support department of their email client.

|
5. Why do some of the pictures in the stationery look cropped off?
-
We design our stationery to be viewed with all monitor settings between 1024x768 and 1280x1024 (covering 95% of all computer users). If the display setting on your monitor is set to 800x600, then some of the photos/graphics may look cropped off when you open them up to send them. Most of them will not appear that way to the person receiving it. E-mail a copy of it to yourself to view it in its entirety.

7. How do I know which version of IncrediMail I have?
-
Open IncrediMail, click on the "Help" tab on top, choose "About IncrediMail". Another window will appear - look for "Build ID: xxxx838"... the last 3 or 4 numbers are the build version you're running.
|
|
8. Where do I go to download the newest upgrade or version of IncrediMail?
|
|
9. How do I add music to an e-mail so it automatically plays when the person receives it?
-
Make sure you have the most current version of IncrediMail (build #828 or beyond) see #6.
-
Visit websites that have midis (refer to our "Resources" page for some sites to visit) and download all the midis you want to a folder on your harddrive.
-
Open IncrediMail & select "New Mail". In the style box select "Sounds". Down on the bottom left you'll see an "Add" button. Click on that & then locate the midis on your harddrive, select which ones you want & click the "Open" button. They should download right into the "Sounds" section of your style box in the folder "My Collection".
This procedure works for animations too.
-
Then when you compose a new mail, pick any sound from the "Sounds" area in your style box, right-click on the name of the sound & select "Insert as background sound". You can even decide if you want the sound to play in a loop or just one time.

10. I purchased an eBusiness Card, Banner Ad or Signature. How do I save it, add it to an IncrediMail outgoing e-mail message and link it to my website? (For other e-mail programs you'll need to follow the instructions for that particular program).
-
To save it: Right-click on the picture inside the body of the email. A new window pops up, select "Save Picture As" and save it to a folder on your harddrive (this will save it in .jpg or .gif format so you can use it anywhere on the internet that a picture can be displayed). To save it in IncrediMail, right-click on the picture again and this time select ""Add Animation 'name' to 'My Collection' collection". It will self install into the animations section of your IncrediMail style box. Repeat this procedure for each of the cards/banners/signatures you ordered.
-
To add it to your outgoing e-mail: Open IncrediMail & select "New Mail". Compose your outgoing e-mail. When you come to the spot where you want to insert your card/banner/signature just click on the "Animations" tab in your style box and locate your card/banner/signature in the "My Collection" folder or whatever folder you keep them in. Select which card you want & it will appear in your composed e-mail.
-
To hyperlink it to your website or other address: Click on the image of the card/banner/signature to highlight it & then look up along your top menu & click on the icon that looks like an round graphic with a link symbol in front of it. Another window will appear where you can type in the address you want to link the card/banner/signature to, be sure to spell the address correctly as the link won't work with any mistakes in it, and press OK. It's now linked & ready to be sent out when you're finished composing your e-mail.
-
To add it to your IncrediMail signature box & have it automatically appear, already hyperlinked, in all your outgoing e-mail messages:
1. Open a new mail click your mouse inside the body of the letter so the cursor appears.
2. Click on the Animations tab (or use the insert picture feature) & choose which picture you want in your signature... it should now appear in your mail.
3. Click on the picture to select it. Then look up along the bar right above the To: Subject: area & you'll see (with most IM skins) a round graphic with a link symbol in front of it. Click on that & a window will appear where you can enter your URL... do so & press OK.
4. Now click your mouse to the right of the picture (the highlighting should go away) and press "Enter" so that your cursor is on the line below the picture. Now type in anything you want from just a period "." to a line of type... you must have at least one character there or this won't work.
5. Now highlight the type & the picture... and select "edit" "copy".
6. Click on the "Signature" tab, then "edit signature". Click your mouse inside the white box & press "Ctrl V". Your picture & type will appear in the box & press OK.
7. Now close IncrediMail & then open it again. Open a "New Mail" and your signature should be there, linked & ready to go. Email a copy to yourself to test the link.
